So it's official escrow closes at the end of next week!!! I think we are in shock that this is actually going to happen. We've had our hearts set on this house for quite some time now and couldn't be happier! The next month is going to be filled with scrapping ceilings, sanding floors, painting walls, etc... It will be lots of hard work, but the product will be so worth it. We couldn't have done this without the love, support, advice and wisdom of our parents. Thank you Annie (our incredible realtor and good friend) for helping make this process happen so smoothly. We're looking forward to sharing the finished product with our friends and family!
About Us....
- The Healds
- Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

Sisters Weekend
Nicole and I decided months back to plan a sisters getaway...just the two of us! These past few days we've had such a blast together relaxing, laughing, eatting great food... The weather couldn't have been any nicer! Over the weekend we headed down to S.F. for some shopping, dancing and relaxing. Our hotel was great, right in the middle of Union Square! Yesterday we traveled up to Calistoga for a day at the spa. This was our first time doing mud baths...talk about an experience! It felt soooo weird laying in a tub of thick mud...we coudn't stop laughing as tried to climb in. We also enjoyed body wraps, mineral pools and of course the 1 hour massage! Afterwards we walked around downtown Calistoga, did some window shopping and couldn't resist buying a new pair of shoes :)
I'm so happy that we live close enough to be able to get together like this. Not everybody can call their sister their best friend...Love you Nicole!

Updates!
Sooooo....we recently found out that the offer we put on a house was accepted!!! We absolutely love this house so we are super excited. Josh is off on spring break this week so he'll be tagging along during all the inspections. We are hoping that everything goes smoothly and escrow closes sooner than later.
I've been pumping out report cards for the past few days (no fun!)...needless to say I'm really looking forward to my spring break next week. Unfortunately Josh and I don't have the same spring break this year. Yesterday he enjoyed taking the boat out to fish, wake board and camp overnight with some friends. This weekend my sis (Nicole) and I are going to have some "sister sister" time. I can't wait! We have some really fun things planned (I'll share pics later.)
Despite the fun plans Josh and I have made, our Spring breaks will definitely involve some organizing around the house and major "spring cleaning". The next couple months will be a whirlwind of busyness, that will be SO worth it in the end. :) Can't wait to share house pics when things are finalized, and we're all moved in!

Annual Barrel Tasting Trip
Yesterday was such a blast! It was our 4th annual Barrel Tasting trip. Every year we get together with some of our closest friends, rent a bus, pack lunches and winetaste. The Annual Barrel Tasting Weekend features nearly 100 wineries in Healdsburg and the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys. You are able to tour wine cellars and sample wine directly from the barrel. The sun was shining, it couldn't have been a more perfect day!

New babies in our family!
So far 2008 has brought us a new niece and nephew! Josh's sister Cassie and her husband A.J. welcomed a baby girl, Camryn Joy on Jan. 22. She was 7 lbs and 9 ounces and 18.5 inches long and is absolutely beautiful!

At the end of May we are expecting yet another baby in the Heald family! Josh's brother Dustin and his wife Mel will be welcoming a baby girl. We are so excited for her to arrive!

On February 4th, Josh's sister Amanda and her husband Matt had a baby boy, Austin Matthew. Austin was 9lbs 2oz, and 21 inches long! Big boy :) He is such a handsome guy!

Relaxing Yet Productive Weekend
It’s been so nice to have a weekend where we weren’t constantly on the go. We often tend to fill up any free min. left in our schedule. Don’t get me wrong, I love our busy life…yet at the same time I appreciate those rare weekends that aren’t consumed with plan after plan. This weekend we were able to be very productive. We completed some much needed yard work and made a trip to the dump (which was swarming with birds!), caught up on laundry, saw a movie (Vantage Point), snuggled on the couch for a lazy afternoon nap together (this rarely ever happens), met up with friends and made our big monthly trip to Costco. The best part was spending so much one on one time together (even if it meant getting dirty in the yard!) Tomorrow begins a busy week that will end with our much anticipated annual barrel tasting event…can’t wait!
