About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

Smiles Finally Caught On Camera :)

Well I finally made sure I had my camera at hand to capture some of Hannah's smiles and silly expressions on film. She is 8 weeks today and has changed so much just in this past week. She smiles so much more now, holds her little head up for minutes on end, weighs almost 10 lbs!, is sleeping and napping in her crib, is almost out of newborn diapers and clothes, and has slept from 11pm-8am (waking up to feed once around 5:00am) for the past few nights!!! Josh is leaving for Washington DC tonight with a group of 8th graders for 5 days. Hannah and I are going to miss him so much! Yesterday we put together a package for dad of his favorite treats and a travel photo album of all her latest pics. My parents and sis are coming down to hang out with us while he's away, Hannah and I are really looking forward to spending time with them. Hannah will get to come watch mom play softball for the first time at our Co-Ed softball team's game Monday night, she'll have to wait to see dad play the following week. :)

Baseball, Boat and Beach

Memorial Day weekend was very fun, yet busy for the Heald family. Saturday we joined up with friends for Hannah's first Oakland A's game. They played the Arizona Diamondbacks and lost in extra innings. Even though the A's lost and the weather was freezing, we had a great time at the game. It was probably one of the coldest A's game we've been too. Hannah slept all cozy in the car while we tailgated before the game. She ate right before entering the game and then slept until the 8th inning. She even got to meet Stomper (the A's mascot) before the game...well technically she was sleeping, but we have the pic to show her someday. :) Sunday we took the boat out with friends, Ian & Kara, Justin & Korine and their girls Reece, Riley and Zoe. The weather again was not ideal, however the sun was shinning and the temp. about 78. A few weeks ago we bought Hannah her first life vest (it's sooo little!) and an umbrella for shade on the shore, however once we got out on the water it was so choppy that only 4 people did wake boarding runs and then we found a cove where we dropped anchor and spent the rest of the day relaxing on the boat. I put Hannah in her new suit for about 20 min. so we could get some pics. We were surprised that it fit her! On Monday Josh and I took Hannah and Tuck to the beach to let Tuck play around and have a picnic. Tuck had a blast running in the water (he used to be so afraid of the waves) and playing around with other dogs. Hannah slept the whole drive there, in the front pack on me while we were at the beach and didn't wake up until we got home. We weren't sure how it was going to be taking Hannah so many different places over the weekend, however she did great and added many new firsts to her list. :)

Hannah's Room/Wide Awake Pics

Hannah turned 6 weeks last Saturday and is so much more alert now. We are having fun talking to her and watching her respond to us with smiles and coos. She still takes naps in 2-3 hr. blocks during the day, however her awake time now ranges anywhere from 1 to 3 hrs. She’s still sleeping well at night, falling asleep for 4 hrs., then waking to eat for 15 min. and then back to sleep for another 4. She’s smiling a lot more, however we have yet to catch it on film. She continues to love going for walks and being outdoors. Last weekend she had a play date with her friend Kenzie (who is 5 days older). They had some Tummy Time together, it was very cute. We've still been going to Postnatal Yoga with Tracy and Kenzie and Mommy and Me classes. I started up with Weight Watchers again a couple weeks ago and have been going to the gym. It feels so good to get back on track with my food and exercise. Weight Watchers seems so much easier right now because I get a lot more points due to breastfeeding. Below are some pics of Hannah's room that I meant to put up a long time ago. I still have some artwork/pictures that I want to put up on the walls. This upcoming weekend will be Hannah's first trip to an A's game and first time on the boat (we got her her first life vest along with a great shade thing for the shore called a Sport Brella, they still have them at Costco.) We're looking forward to the 3 day weekend ahead!
