About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

6 years

On August 12th Josh and I celebrated 6 years of marriage...8 years together...11 years of friendship. For our anniversary we were camping with my family in Humboldt so this post is a little late (however I did get it up before the end of August!)
As I started looking back over photographs from the past 11 years I couldn't help but smile and laugh out loud at some of our fun adventures, amazing times with friends & family and special moments caught on film. I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else. Josh is such a hardworking, loving and dedicated father and husband. We are so fortunate to have traveled so many fun places together, to have joined together two incredible families and started a beautiful family of our own. With thoughts of a possible #2 in the not-so-distant future, we're both so excited with what the future years will bring.
Below are some highlights from the past years.

4 Year Anniversary

What began as 2 years of friendship, lead to 2 years of dating, and then was followed by 4 years of marriage. The past 8 years have been incredible! We have experienced so many adventures together, and have been the best of friends along the way. We didn't think it could get any better, but then Hannah entered our lives making every memory created even more special. We can't wait to see what the years ahead have in store for us. Below are some pics highlighting the past years of our relationship.

Night Away Before Hannah's Arrival

Josh and I decided awhile back that we really wanted a night away, just the two of us, before Hannah's arrival. The past 3 weekends have been filled with events, as are the next two weekends, so we took the opportunity during Josh's spring break last week to get away for a night. We decided to head down to Tiburon and stay the night at The Lodge at Tiburon, a place we've seen and always wanted to stay at. (http://www.thelodgeattiburon.com/) As you can see below, our room was beautiful and relaxing. We were right down the street from the shops, restaurants and bay. We had a delicious Italian dinner, followed by a walk on the docks as the sun set. It was so nice getting away from R.P. just the two of us. The next morning after getting up and having breakfast, we headed to The California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco. (http://www.calacademy.org/) We had been wanting to visit it since it's reopening. We had a great time except for the fact that my feet, hands and ankles got really swollen toward the end while we were in the Rain forest. Last summer Josh and I visited the Smithsonians in Wash D.C. and I would say Academy of Sciences was like a miniature version of all the Smithsonians wrapped into one. Definitely worth the visit if you have never experienced something like the Smithsonians. After getting away for the night we both felt refreshed and relaxed. It's crazy to think that our next trip away will include our daughter!
