About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

playing catch up...

Well I've been a bit of a slacker at keeping up on the Blog this past month. We've been busy traveling and spending time with family and friends & honestly whenever there is some down time I'd much rather spend it playing with my daughter, snuggling with my husband, organizing for miss Jordyn's arrival, napping when Hannah naps...well pretty much doing anything, but sit down at the computer and post pictures and share stories.  :)  Tonight I'll try and play a little "catch up" on here.

Let's start with back at the beginning of December and our annual girls trip to SF for shopping and a night out. Every December my friends Michelle, Ramona, Molly and I head to SF to do some Christmas shopping, enjoy all the holiday lights, some delicious SF cuisine, and a night out of cocktails (none for me this year) & of course dancing.

We always get a hotel right in the middle of Union Square. This year we stayed at Parc 55 and had a beautiful room with a great view of the city with the rolling hills of SF in the back ground.
After a day filled with shopping in Union Square we headed back to our hotel to relax for a bit, enjoy some snacks and a couple drinks before heading out for the evening. One of our favorite things to do is get appetizers and drinks at various places over the course of the night, as opposed to just sitting down at one place for dinner. By doing this we get to experience a variety of restaurants and types of foods. I highly recommend experiencing Union Square this way!!

Love all of the beautiful lights!

We stayed out until almost 2:00am (waaaayyyy later than I've been up at any point during this pregnancy) and ended our evening picking up Pizza by the Slice on our way home and enjoying it along with dessert back in our room (of course in our comfy PJS).  :)

The next morning we headed to breakfast at one of our favorite spots Max's On The Square. From there we checked out of our hotel and drove to the Port of San Francisco, where we walked around the shops of Ghirardelli Square and then down to Pier 39.  Of course we spent some time watching the Sea Lions lying on the docks (always entertaining!) and from the beach enjoyed gorgeous views of the Bay and Golden Gate. Like always it was a fun, entertaining and relaxing getaway with the girls. I love that I live so close to so many fun, quick getaway locations!

 Ok so I guess one post is about all I have the time and energy for tonight.  :)  My daughter is sleeping and my husband is waiting for me to come out and snuggle on the couch with him & watch the new show Alcatraz. We're going to watch the premier to see if it'll be a new series we'll be interested in watching.

Future blog posts include:
Christmas pics and stories; New Years; A look back at 2011 and forward at 2012;
swim lessons and Nicole's baby shower

Now the questions is, when will I find the time, energy and motivation to post it all?!?  :)
