About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

March and April :)

March and April included family visits, the first year of really getting into St. Patty's day with Hannah (so much fun!), Spring Break, our niece Lilly's first birthday, celebrating both the girl's birthdays, doctor check ups, dentist visits, & a special date night for Hannah, mom and dad.  :)

We had no rain during the month of March (kinda crazy!), which meant we enjoyed many beautifully sunny days outside as a family. Made it feel as though summer was just around the corner!

This was the first year we really got into St. Patty's day with Hannah. She was very excited to make her first leprechaun trap and it was so much fun to see her face the following morning when she saw what mischief the leprechaun had gotten in to while she slept. She really thought she was going to catch him because she left sparkly necklaces and chocolate gold coins in his trap...she knew he liked gold and shiny things.  :)  It was fun to watch her creativity at work.

and messed up her toys

he ate her chocolate gold coins and escaped the trap, but left her a little surprise

green milk, eggs, pancakes, plus avocado and kiwi (Hannah thought it was pretty fun)

Jordyn enjoyed eating it :)
We enjoyed the end of Josh's and beginning of my Spring Break up in Fortuna celebrating our niece Lilly's first birthday. It was so fun getting together with many of our cousins and watching the little ones play together.

didn't bother her one bit! (what a difference from Hannah's first visit)

During Spring Break I took the girls to the Nut Tree to meet up with a couple of my girlfriends and their kiddos. We enjoyed the sun, some play time and lunch together.

For Easter weekend this year we started off Saturday morning by attending our first Easter Egg (candy) hunt, put on by the City of Rohnert Park. It was held at the Golf Course. Hannah had a blast and Jordyn enjoyed watching. Following the hunt you could have your picture taken with the Easter bunny. Hannah made it to the front of the line with her sis, but then ran crying to me as soon as I left her and Jordyn with the bunny. Jordyn  on the other Hannah was all smiles and wanted to touch the bunny's face. No fear at all (one of the big differences we already notice between these two).

Easter Sunday we had Grandma, Papa and Josh's brother and family over for Easter brunch and an egg hunt. As usual the kids had a great time!

Josh and I enjoyed a special date night with Hannah (grandma came over to stay with Jordyn). We let her pick what she wanted for dinner (Five Guys burger...yum!!!) and then we took her to see Beauty and the Beast. She was in heaven! It was the best thing watching her face as she watched the show. She was thrilled to meet the cast afterwards and get her crown signed. It was such a fun night! Josh and I look forward to more one on one dates with each of the girls over the summer.

One Year Wonderful!

On April 20th (the day before her actual birthday), we celebrated Jordyn's first birthday with a party at our home with over 60 of our family and friends.  The weather was gorgeous & everything came together nicely (with the help of my mom and sis!) The kids were excited to have jump house that we rented for the day. We went with a theme of "You are my Sunshine" since Jordyn is such a happy girl (it also happens to be a favorite song mom sings to her). Everyone enjoyed refreshing beverages and appetizers while hanging out in both our front and back yards.

Party Favors
Jordyn's cake
Lemon cupcakes...was happy these were less time consuming to make than Hannah's :)

It was pretty hilarious watching Jordyn be sung to. She had an open-mouthed, shocked look on her face the entire time. Once we removed the candle and flowers & gave her a taste of the frosting she barely came up for air while devouring her cake. :) We finally had to take it from her, otherwise she would have eaten the entire thing.
