About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

Lovin' Summer....

Tonight we gathered with friends for some sports in the park. It started with volleyball, which I haven't played since Freshman P.E.! We had a blast though playing barefoot on the sand court and I'd have to say... we were pretty darn good! Following volleyball, we set up a game of croquet and had lots of laughs. Josh is pretty darn good at croquet....I on the other hand could use some practice. :) Following croquet the guys decided to play botchie ball, while the girls walked down to Cafe Salsa for a yummy mexican dinner. Ok so have I mentioned that I love summer break?? Working part time, having no papers to grade, enjoying the sun and spending more time with our family and friends!

Housewarming Party

This Saturday we invited friends and family over to see our new home. Although we still have many projects to complete, we were excited to share what we've completed so far. Below are some pics of the house in it's finished state at this point, followed by pics from the party. We had a great time with everyone and look forward to many more wondeful memories in our new home.

A's Sweep Giants!

On Friday we traveled to S.F. for an A's/Giants game. Before the game we met up with everyone at the 21st Ammendment and then checked out Scott's apt. We love your place Scott! He lives less than a 5 min. walk from the stadium. Unfortunately for the Giants, Zito was pitching. :) The A's won....Mike wasn't too happy. The Giant's stadium is beautiful, as you can see from the pic below.

Let's Go A's!!!

We finally got to an A's game (our first of the season)! The weather was perfect ....It was a 7:00 night game and I was able to wear my tank top the ENTIRE time! The A's played the Yankees and unfortunately lost 3-1 :( We had a good time tailgating before the game and had great seats (thanks Mike!) We're heading to S.F. this Friday to hopefully watch the A's CRUSH the Giants. :)

Girls Night Dance Party

This was our first annual "Girls Night Dance Party" at Ramona's house. The weather was perfect! It was mostly teachers, teachers, and more teachers! :) We had a great time catching up, enjoying yummy food and drinks and of course celebrating the fact that school is almost out! The majority of the evening consisted of us dancing the night away! :) I absolutely love the awesome colleagues I work with in my district! We always have such a great time together! I love these girls!

Last Day of school for Josh!

Well Josh is officially on Summer Break! He is on his way to D.C. with his 8th graders tomorrow. I still have another week with my 2nd graders :) Summer school starts for him in 1 week...he only has 4 weeks of summer school and then the true summer break begins! We can't wait for the camping trips we have planned and of course our trip to D.C.
