About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

Hannah's Favorites

Hannah has many favorites at this point in her life. :) She still LOVES baths, her swing, going for walks, cuddling up with mom and dad, socializing with friends and of course sleeping! This past weekend Josh and I enjoyed our first entire weekend at home with the house to ourselves. It has been probably almost 2 months since we've had this. Friday night after going for a walk to the dog park, we took Hannah to one of our favorite taquerias (Cafe Salsa). Afterwards we rented a couple movies and enjoyed an evening of watching movies and eating ice cream. :) Saturday Hannah spent the morning visiting with Grandma and Grandpa Heald. We had such a nice time. Saturday afternoon friends Greg, Allison and son Tyler came to meet Hannah, along with our friend Jim. We joined friends for dinner and drinks Sat. night at Sally Tomatoes. Afterwards Hannah went with dad and the guys went back to the house to hang out, while the girls and I went to The Golden Spoon for some delicious frozen yogurt. Sunday we slept in, it felt sooooo good! We finally got our day started around 1:00, got lunch, went to Costco and Target, did some yard work and housecleaning and then watched Marley and Me after dinner. This upcoming weekend Hannah will be taking her first road trip to Grass Valley for Andrea and Devin's wedding. We are looking forward to the wedding and spending time with family and friends. Below are some pics of Hannah's favorite things to do. :)

Busy week 2 for Hannah

Week 2 of Hannah's life was a busy one.... filled with meeting new people, spending time with family, sleeping, lots of eatting and even more sleeping. :) She had her 2 week appointment the other day. Her pediatrician says she's doing great and was very happy that she's gained weight (7lbs. 2 oz) and is now 20 in. In between eatting and sleeping she's very alert, she lifts her head up when on her stomach and has a very strong little grip. She is still sleeping very well in her basinet (3-4 blocks of time) and loves to eat! She also loves her swing and vibrating chair. She continues to constantly have her hands by her face. :) My mom and sis came down to visit last week and get in some one on one time with Hannah. It was so nice having them here. Hannah loved spending time with Grandma Musone and Auntie Nicole. While Hannah stayed with grandma, my sis and I enjoyed the pedicures we had planned to get 2 weeks prior on the day Hannah was born. Josh went back to work last week and wishes he was able to be home with Hannah also. He decided not to coach track this season so that he can head home right after work to take Tuck on a run and then spend the rest of the afternoon/evening with Hannah and me. After dinner we've been enjoying walks, both Tuck and Hannah love being out in this gorgeous weather. Last week Hannah and I went to our first Mommy and Me class with my friend Tracy and her little girl Kenzie. I'm so glad Kaiser offers it to us because it was very informational. Last Sat. Josh and I decided to spend the day just the 3 of us in downtown Santa Rosa. The weather was beautiful! We enjoyed doing a little shopping, going out to lunch and walking around Downtown with our daughter. Fortunately she likes riding around in her stroller. We've enjoyed having all the visitors, however it was so nice to have some time with just the 3 of us.

1st Easter and 1st Bath at Home

Hannah's first Easter was very special. We spent it with her Grandma and Grandpa Martin, Uncle Dustin, Aunt Melanie, Cousin Mazzy, Uncle Matt, Aunt Amanda and cousin Austin. Prior to Hannahs' birth we had planned on doing Easter at our house, however we did not expect Hannah would be here to celebrate Easter with us. She slept the majority of the day and did very well posing for pictures. :) I managed to find one of her dresses that kind of fit her little 6 lb body. She is so tiny and petite! Her umbilical chord fell off Easter day so we were able to give her her first bath Easter night. She absolutely LOVED her bath. She contently sat there the entire time as dad bathed her. It was too cute.
