About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

Hannah's Room/Wide Awake Pics

Hannah turned 6 weeks last Saturday and is so much more alert now. We are having fun talking to her and watching her respond to us with smiles and coos. She still takes naps in 2-3 hr. blocks during the day, however her awake time now ranges anywhere from 1 to 3 hrs. She’s still sleeping well at night, falling asleep for 4 hrs., then waking to eat for 15 min. and then back to sleep for another 4. She’s smiling a lot more, however we have yet to catch it on film. She continues to love going for walks and being outdoors. Last weekend she had a play date with her friend Kenzie (who is 5 days older). They had some Tummy Time together, it was very cute. We've still been going to Postnatal Yoga with Tracy and Kenzie and Mommy and Me classes. I started up with Weight Watchers again a couple weeks ago and have been going to the gym. It feels so good to get back on track with my food and exercise. Weight Watchers seems so much easier right now because I get a lot more points due to breastfeeding. Below are some pics of Hannah's room that I meant to put up a long time ago. I still have some artwork/pictures that I want to put up on the walls. This upcoming weekend will be Hannah's first trip to an A's game and first time on the boat (we got her her first life vest along with a great shade thing for the shore called a Sport Brella, they still have them at Costco.) We're looking forward to the 3 day weekend ahead!

2nd Annual Girls Dance Party

Last weekend Ramona held our 2nd Annual Girls Dance Party at her beautiful home in Sebastopol. After having the dance party last year we decided to make it an annual tradition, celebrating that the end of school and summer were just around the corner. Hannah hung out with dad for the evening, giving mom a night out with the ladies. :) The weather was soooo perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better night. We started off enjoying food and drinks in Ramona and Andy's beautifully landscaped backyard. Once it got dark the dancing began. This year Ramona hung lights around the dance floor and along the edge of the yard, it looked great! By the end of the evening we decided we might not be able to wait until next May for another dance party and would have to schedule a "back to school" dance party in Aug. or Sept. :)

Mother's Day Weekend

This past weekend was so wonderful in so many ways. It started Friday with my district's 2nd annual bowling tourn. Hannah and I joined team Evergreen for some bowling. I had such a good time with the Evergreen gang! I am loving being at home with Hannah, but I miss my coworkers a lot. After bowling I came home to finish packing for our drive up to Fortuna. Josh had a school function until late Fri. night so we didn't get on the road til it was dark. This was our first road trip with puppy and baby. The first half wasn't so much fun. When we started off Hannah was sleeping peacefully, but Tuck really did not want to be in his crate. By Willits we had to stop because Tuck's whining woke Hannah. We proceeded to spend 45 min. in the beautiful town of Willits, me feeding Hannah and Josh walking Tuck. The rest of the drive went well...thank goodness! On Sat. Hannah got to meet many new family members and friends. We also celebrated Nicole's 28the birthday.
For Mother's Day on Sunday, we headed to the gorgeous Benbow Inn. http://www.benbowinn.com/ It has been a family tradition, ever since my mom was pregnant with me in 1979, to have brunch at the Benbow Inn for Mother's Day. For my first Mother's Day it was important for me to continue this tradition with my daughter. The weather was absolutely amazing! Following brunch, we spent the afternoon down by the river and in the garden area, talking, relaxing, etc... I couldn't' have asked for a more perfect Mother's Day. Hannah loved her first trip to the Benbow Inn and of course she slept the majority of the time! :) Josh took Monday off, so we were able to take our time heading home. Both Hannah and Tuck slept the entire drive home!!! We made it back just in time to head straight to Tuck's dog training class.
Today Hannah and I started off our day at Postnatal Yoga. I was able to time it so that she slept through the entire class and I was able to enjoy myself. Afterwards we headed to Santa Rosa for Mommy and Me. After class I weighed Hannah and with her clothes on, she weighs 9 lbs. 2 oz.! I can't believe how much she's grown! This upcoming weekend one of my best friends from college, Sebrina, is coming to visit. On Sat. night we have Ramona's 2nd annual "Girls Dance Party" I can't wait to enjoy some tasty food, drinks and get down on the dance floor with the girls!

Andrea & Devin's wedding/Hannah's 1 month old

This past weekend Hannah went on her first road trip to Grass Valley for Andrea and Devin's wedding. She slept the whole way there, with us stopping once to feed/change her, and then on Sunday we didn't have to stop because she slept the entire way home. :) We're hoping she'll continue to be such a good traveler as she gets older.
The wedding was absolutely beautiful! Andrea and I have been friends since college and were also roomates for a couple years. Andrea and Devin are close friends of ours, we're lucky to have them in our life. Josh and I were so happy Hannah arrived early making it possible for us to be there. As to be expected, Hannah slept through the wedding and most of the reception. :) She spent the later part of the evening with Grandma and Grandpa Musone at the hotel, allowing Josh and I to have the night to ourselves. The day of the wedding marked 4 weeks since Hannah was born. She is growing and changing every day. At Mommy and Me class last week she weighed almost 8 lbs! (She loves to eat) She follows our faces and smiles as we talk to her. Last Friday evening she slept for six hours straight! I was soooo excited! :) We can't believe how quickly the weeks have flown by and how fortunate we are to have such a sweet, beautiful, mellow daughter.
