About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

Grandparents and Birthday Parties

Well we survived the time away from dad with the help of Non & Nonie Musone and Auntie Cole. My parents and sis came down to visit while Josh was away. It was so nice to have their help. Dealing with a puppy and baby single handed is not an easy task....especially with our puppy! Hannah enjoyed spending some quality time with her Non, Noni and Auntie. During their visit we did some shopping, ate out, watched movies, went for walks and went to my first softball game of the season. I made sure and took pictures of Hannah each day and emailed them to dad to see while he was in DC. Josh's trip went really well, however by the end of the week he was so ready to be home.
Hannah was so excited to see her family!
(Auntie Cole had to put the bow in her hair just for the picture even though it is attached by only a few strands of hair :)Kisses from mom while emailing dad some pics Waking up

Josh returned home late Thursday night and then immediately had to go to a summer school mtg. the following morning (which he was not too excited about!) We enjoyed Friday night out to dinner with friends and then had everyone over to our house for a movie. Saturday morning Grandma and Poppa Martin arrived. Hannah was so excited to see them. We hung out at our house for awhile before heading to cousin Mazzy's first birthday party. I wanted to get a pic of Hannah and Mazzy together at the party, but didn't because Hannah slept the entire time. :) After Mazzy's party we headed over to Tyler's 1st birthday party (our friend Greg and Allison's son). Following the 1st two parties of the day we headed home for a much needed nap. Saturday evening we celebrated Tracy's birthday with a BBQ over at her and Dave's house. During Hannah's brief moment of awake time, she hung out with her friend Kenzie. Sunday Grandma and Poppa watched Hannah and Mazzy while we went to a movie. Josh and I enjoyed our first trip to the movie theater since Hannah's arrival.

Smiles Finally Caught On Camera :)

Well I finally made sure I had my camera at hand to capture some of Hannah's smiles and silly expressions on film. She is 8 weeks today and has changed so much just in this past week. She smiles so much more now, holds her little head up for minutes on end, weighs almost 10 lbs!, is sleeping and napping in her crib, is almost out of newborn diapers and clothes, and has slept from 11pm-8am (waking up to feed once around 5:00am) for the past few nights!!! Josh is leaving for Washington DC tonight with a group of 8th graders for 5 days. Hannah and I are going to miss him so much! Yesterday we put together a package for dad of his favorite treats and a travel photo album of all her latest pics. My parents and sis are coming down to hang out with us while he's away, Hannah and I are really looking forward to spending time with them. Hannah will get to come watch mom play softball for the first time at our Co-Ed softball team's game Monday night, she'll have to wait to see dad play the following week. :)

Baseball, Boat and Beach

Memorial Day weekend was very fun, yet busy for the Heald family. Saturday we joined up with friends for Hannah's first Oakland A's game. They played the Arizona Diamondbacks and lost in extra innings. Even though the A's lost and the weather was freezing, we had a great time at the game. It was probably one of the coldest A's game we've been too. Hannah slept all cozy in the car while we tailgated before the game. She ate right before entering the game and then slept until the 8th inning. She even got to meet Stomper (the A's mascot) before the game...well technically she was sleeping, but we have the pic to show her someday. :) Sunday we took the boat out with friends, Ian & Kara, Justin & Korine and their girls Reece, Riley and Zoe. The weather again was not ideal, however the sun was shinning and the temp. about 78. A few weeks ago we bought Hannah her first life vest (it's sooo little!) and an umbrella for shade on the shore, however once we got out on the water it was so choppy that only 4 people did wake boarding runs and then we found a cove where we dropped anchor and spent the rest of the day relaxing on the boat. I put Hannah in her new suit for about 20 min. so we could get some pics. We were surprised that it fit her! On Monday Josh and I took Hannah and Tuck to the beach to let Tuck play around and have a picnic. Tuck had a blast running in the water (he used to be so afraid of the waves) and playing around with other dogs. Hannah slept the whole drive there, in the front pack on me while we were at the beach and didn't wake up until we got home. We weren't sure how it was going to be taking Hannah so many different places over the weekend, however she did great and added many new firsts to her list. :)
