About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

On The Go

The first few weeks of summer have been busy. Hannah and I drove up to surprise my mom for her birthday on Monday June 15th. She was not expecting it at all and was in disbelief when she walked around the corner into the living room and saw Hannah sitting there in her car seat. :) Josh unfortunately couldn't come up with us because of summer school. The following weekend we headed to Stockton for Michele and Mike's wedding. Because of horrendous traffic we missed the wedding :( but did make it to the reception. It was so great getting together with my girls, we always have such a great time. On the way home Saturday we went to visit Josh's dad and step mom for Father's day and Larry's birthday. Cassie and AJ were there with Camryn and Dustin and Mel were there with Mazzy. It was so great getting the cousins together. They are within a year and a half in age which is going to be so much fun when they get older. Last weekend we went on our first camping trip with puppy and baby. I'll post those pics soon. I can't believe Hannah is going to be 3 months on the 4th of July!!!! Where has the time gone?!?!

Photo Shoots

This past week Hannah had not 1, but 2 photo shoots! At this point she's already getting used to posing for the flash. :) On Tues. our friend Angela Johnson took the pictures below of Hannah at her home in Fortuna. It was later in the afternoon and she was a sleepy baby. Ang did capture some smiles on camera and got some great pictures of Hannah. We had so much fun posing her with the different props Ang has. Auntie Nicole made sure she had a bow in her hair for just about every pic! :)

The next set of pictures were taken by one of my best friends Andrea Bradley. She came in to town for a visit and as per usual she took lots of pictures of Hannah. :) We decided to do some posed pics of her in her bed while she was taking a nap. I just love some of the expressions she caught on Hannah's face. These pictures were in the morning, just before nap time. I'm lucky to have such talented friends! Thank you Ang and Andrea!!!

for some reason this picture is upside down??

Biannual SF trip with the girls

Last Saturday Hannah had her first overnight with dad while I went to the city with Michelle, Ramona and Molly for our biannual girls trip to S.F. We left early Saturday morning so that we could spend all day doing the Barbary Coast Trial ( a walking tour of S.F. that connects the city's most important historic sites). Using our map we followed a series of bronze medallions and arrows embedded in the sidewalk that starts in Union Square and ends at Ghirardelli Square.
Of course we had to make a few detours along the route for shopping and tasty beverages. :) I was very happy to enjoy a clam chowder bread bowl from Boudins on Pier 39...delicious!!! We took the trolley back to Union Square and our hotel. At our hotel we laughed a lot while playing games and enjoyed snacks and wine. The evening ended with a trip to the Tonga Room for some dancing. Sunday I did some shopping with the girls before heading home. This is the 3rd time we've done this in celebration of all of our birthdays. Hannah did great for dad. I came home to them napping on the couch together. :)

Ready for our Walking Tour....Michelle was our tour guide :)
