About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

6 Months Old/Visit with Grandpa and Grandma Heald

Hannah turned 6 months this past Sunday. She’s getting to be such a big girl! Her 6 month appointment is coming up on Monday the 12th, so I’ll have all her stats next week. She has become so much more active! She’s rolling all over the place, likes scooting forwards and backwards, just started sitting on her own within the past two weeks, picks up anything and everything within arms reach and puts it directly in her mouth, loves banging on the keyboard when she’s sitting on my lap at the computer, thinks her animals are fascinating and is completely entertained by them, grabs our face and pulls it in for kisses, loves dancing around in the kitchen to music, will sit on our lap and listen to story after story (mom and dad are both big readers so hopefully she will be too!), is enjoying trying many new foods, (peas, avocado, plums and bananas are the current favorites). She’s still doing great with naps (4-5 hrs of naps/day), goes down around 8:00 pm and is finally sleeping through the night!!! She is still doing wonderfully at daycare. While she’s there, she loves playing with her toys and laughing & babbling at Caitlyn and Tyler. She just completed her 4th week of swim lessons and starts baby sign class next week with her friends Kenzie, Nico and Michael.

Last Saturday we headed to Rancho Cordova to visit Grandpa and Grandma Heald. We had a great afternoon together! Hannah had some play time with cousin Mazzy, Grandpa and Grandma Heald. She loved our trip to the park where she swung with Grandpa Heald and Mazzy. Josh and his brother Dustin enjoyed the play structure just as much, if not more than their daughters.

Oktoberfest/Musone Family Visit

I have been finding it harder and harder to post updates on here, life has been busy and the days are flying by. I can't believe we are already in October! During the last week of Sept. my parents came down on Wednesday, they made it just in time to catch Hannah's swim lesson. I was so glad they got to see her in the pool because she is having so much fun with it. Hannah got to stay home from daycare Thurs. and Fri. with her Nonne and Nonnie Musone. She was spoiled with so much attention from them and loved every min. of it! Thursday night my parents joined Josh, Hannah and I for "Survivor Night" with our Suvivor gang. For the past few years we get together every Thurs. to watch Survivor, have dinner and enjoy wine. If your person gets booted off Survivor you and your partner cook dinner for all 12 of us the next week. Hannah had Friday evening home with Nonne and Nonnie while Josh and I enjoyed dinner out in Santa Rosa. Nicole and Sean arrived later that evening, the two of them along with my dad joined us for drinks and darts/pool at the 8ball. On Saturday we all headed down to Cotati for Oktoberfest. The weather was soooo incredibly hot! (high 90's) We had a German lunch, watched some traditional dancing, visited with friends and then headed down to Friar Tucks to watch some football. Their visit went by entirely too fast!

So I officially have 4 weeks of work left (but who's counting?!?) :) I can't wait for the day I get to be home with my girl again. The weekends are such a tease, and Monday rolls around before I know it! Hannah turned 6 months today:) She is growing and changing daily. I'll get some 6 month pics along with our visit to Grandma and Grandpa Heald up soon.

Swim Lessons

Last Monday Hannah had her first day of swim class. Although she's just shy of 6 months, we decided to sign her up because she loves the water and there was only 4 weeks left of outdoor swim lessons. Because we are on our boat so much during the summer, we want Hannah to be a very capable, confident swimmer. She did well during her first couple classes. She loved floating on her back and stomach, at first she did not love the "Humpty Dumpty" part of the lesson where we put her on the side of the pool and then dip her back in. I think she just didn't like being lifted out of the warm pool. :) She also was not a fan of "1...2...3...dunk" the first couple times. However ,by the 3rd lesson she didn't mind it. At yesterday's class, Josh got in the pool with her and she absolutely loved it when he had her float on her back. She spent the last half of her lesson floating on her back and kicking her legs like crazy. She was all smiles for dad. It was too cute. :) The weather has been so hot, making the temp at our 5:00 class time perfect! Tomorrow my parents are coming to visit and will be here for swim lessons. They are so excited to see her in the pool. We have two more weeks of lessons and then may sign up for classes at the YMCA's indoor pool during the winter. We are having so much fun with her at the pool!
