~Time has flown by, life has been busy and I've been awful with keeping up with our blog! As a result, here is one long post capturing the highlights from the month of December.~
Hannah turned 8 months at the beginning of December. Our little girl is growing so quickly! She has moved on to all finger foods now and will eat anything! Some of her favorites are french toast, black olives, pears, peas and lasagna. She is so happy to be crawling and loves that she can now get to where she wants to be. She cut two more teeth, totaling 4 on the bottom. She continues to have such a sweet, happy personality. She loves going to the store with mom and dad. While riding in the cart she smiles at everyone as they pass by. Toward the end of the month she began chatting so much more. She loves hearing her voice, especially when in the bath tub. We are having so much fun with her at this age. She brings so much joy to our lives! Below are 8 month pictures taken by our good friend Andrea.
At the beginning of December we celebrated my 30th birthday. Josh planned an awesome evening with my closest friends. We rented a tour bus and went to some local breweries, out to dinner and ended the evening meeting up with more friends in downtown Cotati for more drinks and dancing. It was a birthday I'll never forget!
Hannah met Santa twice this year and both times were equally as traumatizing. To sum it up she is not a fan of Santa....at least not now. Her first visit with Santa was when he came to our neighborhood. At first she had no idea she was even sitting on his lap, but the picture below captured the surprise on her face when she looked back and saw him....tears immediately followed. Her second visit with Santa was with her friend Nico. This time she started crying the minute Santa got near her, however she was ok with sitting in his chair and playing with his sleigh bells (clueless that he was standing behind her and Nico).

We spent Christmas Eve at my Aunt and Uncle's again this year. Once she was out of her Christmas dress, Hannah loved crawling around the tree in her gingerbread girl outfit. We spent Christmas morning at my parent's house, where Hannah had a blast opening gifts and playing with her new toys. A favorite was her Radio Flyer walker wagon, which she pushed all over Nonne and Nonnie's house while squealing with delight. It was too funny!
While in Fortuna I was able to see one of my best friends Ang and meet her new baby girl Izabel. We had so much fun introducing our girls (future BFF's) and catching up.

After returning home from Fortuna, Hannah and I made the trip over to Sacramento for the afternoon to see two of my best friends from high school (Lisa and Amber), their husbands, moms and Amber's son Gavin. We had such a great time catching up and watching Hannah and Gavin play. This was the second time Hannah and Gavin spent time together. It was so cute because unlike last time (when Hannah couldn't even sit on her own), they were able to crawl around and interact with each other.

This year we decided to have a low key New Years at home. A few friends came over for some blind Pinot Noir wine tasting (the bottle I brought got the most points in the blind taste test and won!) We had a great time drinking wine, eating, and playing games. We put Hannah to bed with Enya playing on the Ipod in her room. The Enya worked and she slept through all our noise, however just minutes before the strike of midnight, Josh and I looked at the baby monitor and saw her standing, wide awake in her crib. Apparently she sensed something important was about to happen :) so we brought her out to ring in the new year with mom and dad.
After the New Year we took a road trip with Josh's brother Dustin, his wife Mel and our niece Mazzy to Rancho Cordova to see Josh's dad, step mom Donna, sister Cassie, husband AJ and our niece Camryn. It was so cute seeing the girls play together. They were so sweet! Grandma and Grandpa's bathroom provided them with much entertainment. Camryn enjoyed pretending to feed Hannah during their tea party with Grandpa Larry. :)
Well since January is almost over, I'll make sure and get another post on here hopefully sooner than later!
