About Us....

My photo
Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

Dave and Tracy's wedding festivities

Well I meant to put up this post before we headed to D.C., but I got so busy packing and finishing last min. things that I ended up starting it and never finishing it. The weekend before we left we celebrated Dave and Tracy's wedding. The festivities kicked off Thurs. with a BBQ, Friday was the wedding and Sat. was the post brunch. We had such a good time. :) The wedding was so beautiful! It was so nice to spend time with friends we don't get to see that often. I'm usually really good about taking pictures, but for some reason I took a handful at the beginning of the reception and then didn't pick up my camera for the rest of the night. I guess I was too busy dancing. :) ....I know shocking!! :) As soon as I have some time, I'll put up pics from our East Coast trip.

Great day on the lake

Last summer we bought a wakesurf board so that we had a something new to try on the boat. There's only so much wakeboarding, water skiing and toobing you can do! :) After a few tries we got the hang of it. When wakesurfing, the boat is only going approx. 10 mph and you are surfing in the wake directly behind it. Once you get into "the sweet spot" (as we call it), you are able to toss the rope back on the boat and surf in the wake. It's so much fun! Below is a video of Josh wakesurfing out on Lake Sonoma earlier this week.

It was so great getting my sis and Sean out on the boat. The weather was awesome!

Love you sis!

Childhood friends

This weekend we traveled to Elk Grove for Lauren and Jarrad's wedding reception. The bride and groom looked awesome! It was so good to see everyone and catch up. Our parentshave been friends since before we were born, therefore us girls have been friends since birth. We don't get to see each other nearly as much as we'd like to these days. Growing up we have videos of ourselves doing silly lip syncs for our parents, camping with our dads, racing down the waterslides, snowskiing and so much more. We grew up in two different states, but were always so close. I wish we didn't live in 4 different places today

Lovin' Summer....

Tonight we gathered with friends for some sports in the park. It started with volleyball, which I haven't played since Freshman P.E.! We had a blast though playing barefoot on the sand court and I'd have to say... we were pretty darn good! Following volleyball, we set up a game of croquet and had lots of laughs. Josh is pretty darn good at croquet....I on the other hand could use some practice. :) Following croquet the guys decided to play botchie ball, while the girls walked down to Cafe Salsa for a yummy mexican dinner. Ok so have I mentioned that I love summer break?? Working part time, having no papers to grade, enjoying the sun and spending more time with our family and friends!

Housewarming Party

This Saturday we invited friends and family over to see our new home. Although we still have many projects to complete, we were excited to share what we've completed so far. Below are some pics of the house in it's finished state at this point, followed by pics from the party. We had a great time with everyone and look forward to many more wondeful memories in our new home.
