About Us....
- The Healds
- Married on Aug. 12, 2005....we met through mutual friends in the spring of 2000 while playing on a co-ed softball team. We both teach…me elementary (since 2004) and Josh middle school history (since 2006) . I've taught 2nd, 4th and 6th grade. This year I'm moving from 6th to 1st grade, big change however I'm excited to teach primary again. Along with teaching Josh coaches 3 sports a year. We're both very active...it feels like we're always on the go. We love our boat and enjoy being out on the lake with family and friends. 2008 was a big year for us. We bought our first home in April, got our first puppy (Tuck) at the beginning of Aug. and were very excited to find out mid Aug. that we were pregnant. Our daughter, Hannah Nicole was born on April, 4 2009 :) Parenthood is so much better than we ever expected it to be. Hannah is such an easy going, happy little girl. On April 21 of 2012 our second daughter Jordyn Elizabeth entered our lives & made our family complete. We are so fortunate to have two healthy, happy, beautiful girls.

Thanksgiving Break
Josh and I continued the tradition of hosting Thanksgiving at our house this year.We really love being able to bring both of our families together and not having to travel. :) We started off the break by celebrating my parents 31st anniversary at Nicolino's Italian restaurant in downtown Cotati...so delicious! Thanksgiving morning Hannah got to play with her cousins, after her morning nap we took a walk to the park while all the guys went to play frisbee golf at Crane Canyon. After dinner and pie we had a blast playing Who Knew? and Cranium. The next day the ladies went shopping, while the guys went to play a couple more rounds of Frisbee Golf at two different courses in Petaluma. On Saturday we took Hannah to her first Notre Dame game. Notre Dame came so close to beating Stanford. It was such a great game! We definitely didn't want the break to end or to see our families go. Christmas can't get here soon enough!!!

Happy Anniversary!

7 months old
Hannah turned 7 months (2 1/2 weeks ago), so as you can see I'm a bit behind with updating the blog. :) Our little girl has grown and changed so much in the past month. She still continues to be a good eater and has definitely packed on a little weight (I just love her chubby little thighs!), so far we have made all of her food from fresh fruits, vegetables, etc... My mom got us this awesome baby food processor called a Beaba, it steams and purees her food. Some new foods she likes are chicken, yams, cheese, scrambled egg yolk...she continues to love ALL fruits, avocado, and green beans. She is very close to crawling. She gets on all fours and rocks back and forth and then starts to scootch forward by arching her bottom into the air. She gets frustrated when she can't get to something as quickly as she'd like to. Her new favorite thing to do is hold on to our hands and walk. You can tell she wants to walk on her own soooo badly! She also has started making this face where she scrunches up her nose and makes a sniffing sound, she thinks she's too funny. She is still such a happy girl. It's veen so easy to catch her smiling on camera. We bought a new video camera yesterday, it's a High Def. Canon. We're very excited! Hannah continues to be a good napper (4-5 hrs a day) and is still sleeping through the night (with the exception of some nights while battling a cold). I ended up taking a 2 week sub job in my good friend Heidi's class, who became unexpectedly ill and asked me to cover her class. Because I feel so good about Hannah's daycare situation and really wanted to help Heidi out I took the job. I will also be working for the 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas in 1st grade at the school where I did my student teaching years ago. I wanted to say no so badly when they asked me if I'd take the job, however the money is too good. I just keep telling myself that it's only 3 weeks. Hannah's friend Kenzie is now at daycare with Hannah 3 days a week. They are too cute playing together. Stacy, Hannah's daycare provider, took some pictures of Hannah at daycare with her friends which I posted below.
